Man shot in the face while inside South Chicago home

A man was shot in the face while inside a South Chicago home Monday afternoon.

At about 4:45 p.m., a 22-year-old man was inside a residence in the 7900 block of South Clyde when he was struck to the face, Chicago police said.

The man was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

No offenders are in custody. Area detectives are investigating.
