Naperville teen organizes blood drive to help save lives

A Naperville North High School senior spent Sunday putting on a blood drive in an effort to help save lives.

He organized a community blood drive because of his own experience.

Zavion Charles, 17, got the idea while he was receiving treatment for sickle cell disease.

The teen partnered with Vitalant to hold the event at Napervile Safety Town on Sunday afternoon.
