Woman, 53, reported missing on Chicago's SW Side found safe

CHICAGO - A 53-year-old woman who was reported missing on Chicago's Southwest Side last October has been found safe, police said. 

Emilia Sanchez was located on Sunday, though further details haven't been released. 

The backstory:

Emilia Sanchez was reported missing on Oct. 14, 2024, in the 5200 block of South Homan Avenue, according to Chicago police.

She was described as being 5 feet tall, with brown eyes and black hair.

Police believed she may have been in the Little Village neighborhood.
