New details, confirmed by the family’s attorney Tuesday, help flesh out Brian Laundrie’s timeline after his return to Florida but may not necessarily shed any new light on where he is right now.

The parents of Brian Laundrie, the only person of interest named in the disappearance of Gabby Petito, say they do not know where their son is. 

Brian Laundrie and Gabby Petito embarked on a cross-country trip together in mid-June. He returned on Sept. 1 without her.

North Port police confirmed that Brian Laundrie's mother Roberta called 911 on Dog the Bounty Hunter when he knocked on the family's front door over the weekend.

Agents with the FBI were at the home of Brian Laundrie's parents Sunday to request personal items they could test and match for DNA, according to the Laundrie family attorney. It's unclear what prompted the request, on the eighth day of the search for Gabby Petito's fiancé.

Television's Dog the Bounty Hunter is joining the search for Brian Laundrie, the only person wanted in connection with Gabby Petito's disappearance. Saturday, the reality star was seen banging on the screen door of the North Port home, but no one answered.

The circumstances surrounding Brian Laundrie's disappearance have prompted speculation about the alleged role his parents may or may or not have played in helping their son elude authorities. So far, Christopher and Roberta Laundrie have not been charged with any crime, and experts say that could be a tall order under Florida law.

Brian Laundrie is now officially a wanted man. While police previously classified him only as a missing person of interest in Gabby Petito’s disappearance, the FBI now says there is a warrant out for his arrest.
