PAWS Chicago credited with 91% decline in killing of homeless pets

Once Paula Fasseas, the founder of PAWS Chicago, discovered that more than 40,000 pets in the city were being killed each year, she stepped up her efforts, growing a volunteer squad that has led to a 91% decline in the killing of homeless pets.
