Fifth grader Alanna Atwood from Wendell Smith Elementary School is the winner of this year’s Foley MLK Jr. Oratory Competition. Alanna joins Fox Chicago to talk about her winning speech, the message behind it and what the competition means to young students across Chicago. The annual contest celebrates the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by uplifting student voices and future leaders.
