News Producer: WFLD is seeking a staff producer to contribute to one of Fox 32’s newscasts. This role requires a producer to gather facts, find video and oversee editing of stories. The candidate must have strong writing skills and be self-sufficient for the newscast. Responsible for story content and accuracy. Must perform all other duties as assigned and deemed appropriate. REQUIREMENTS: Candidate must have 2-3 years producing experience, experience as a line producer and computer knowledge preferred. Must be creative, concise, detail oriented, able to handle deadline pressure and take direction from managers. Reliability, good news judgment, and factual accuracy are crucial. Heaving sitting at workstation, light standing, bending, walking and stair climbing are also required. GM Administrative Assistant: GM Administrative Assistant: WFLD FOX32-TV, the Owned and Operated FOX Television station in Chicago, is looking for a dynamic professional to support our General Manager and Management team along with helping to coordinate Station community affairs. As our Station Executive Assistant, you will report directly to the General Manager. You'll be involved in planning station projects, events, and community activities in coordination with the News, Promotion, Programming and Human Resources Departments. Support the General Manager with scheduling, time management, presentations, meetings, reporting, and budgeting. You will also support the General Manger with daily coordination and communication with staff. In addition, help coordinate travel for various departments, manage station office supplies and other duties as assigned. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required. 2+ years of administrative or operational support experience. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to complete task with superior accuracy. Polished written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills. Excellent attention to detail. Maintenance Technician: WFLD Fox Chicago is seeking a skilled Broadcast Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The selected candidate will assist in performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and problem-solving of all equipment associated with a 24/7/365 television operation in a major market. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintenance and repair of Automated Master Control Systems, Automated Production Control Rooms Systems, Studio Production equipment, Camera Control Systems, Robotic Pedestals, Remote Production ENG equipment, Newsroom Video Playback, File Based Archive solutions, non-linear edit systems and satellite distribution systems. The selected candidate will also assist in system design, construction and commissioning of new technologies at the Studio, Transmitter, and Remote Facilities. Familiarity with Evertz Magnum, Grass Valley ITX, Sony switchers and ELC, Bit Central Playout, Chyron Graphics systems, and Telestream Vantage is a plus. QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have at least 5 years’ experience in TV Engineering which must include a strong IT background. Newscast Director: WFLD is seeking an experienced newscast director/technical director to join its production team. We utilize a fully automated control room to produce ten hours of live news daily. The ideal candidate will have experience with a production automation system, preferably Sony ELC. Knowledge of the Sony 8000 switcher, ChyronHego tools (Camio, Axis & Luci), robotic cameras and iNews are a plus. Additional duties may include directing weekly political and sports shows, promos, satellite/Zoom interviews, pre-produced segments and floor directing. REQUIREMENTS: At least 5 years experience directing news or related content. Strong technical directing background with experience in an automated control room and studio. Ability to lead, thrive under pressure and succeed in the fast-paced environment of live local news. News Anchor/Reporter: WFLD Chicago Fox 32 has an immediate full-time job opening for an Anchor/Reporter on our news broadcast(s). The ideal candidate will display professionalism and personality, both on and off the air. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation and communication skills, thorough knowledge of Nielsen ratings, digital and multi-platform initiatives, as well as experience in television sales; must be able to identify share and revenue growth opportunities with both transactional and new business clients; contribute to a positive culture that is focused on maintaining and building strong client relationships.
