CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - FOX 32 News has teamed up with no-kill shelter PAWS Chicago to bring you an adoptable pet each week. This week, we're featuring an adoptable cat named Wickett!
Wickett is a calm, laid-back girl who also has quite a playful streak! This pretty two-year-old kitty recently returned to the Adoption Center after spending over a month in a foster home where she quickly won over her foster mom’s heart with her playful antics.
She was also introduced to older children during her foster stay and did very well with them, so she would likely be a wonderful addition to a family with kids!
Wickett is Feline Immunodeficiency Virus positive, which is a virus that depresses the immune system and hinders a cat’s ability to protect himself against other infections. However many FIV+ cats live long and healthy lives without signs of infection! This does mean that Wickett can only share her home with other FIV+ cats.
Although she’s not a lap cat yet, with a little time and patience she will blossom into an expert snuggler and a wonderful addition to the family!
You can meet Wickett and the other animals in need of forever homes at the PAWS Chicago Adoption & Humane Center in the Lincoln Park neighborhood.
