20-year-old man shot while walking on Chicago's South Side

CHICAGO - A 20-year-old man was shot while walking in West Pullman early Friday, police said.

The shooting occurred around 1 a.m. in the 11700 block of South Parnell Avenue. The man was struck in the thigh and taken to Christ Medical Center in fair condition, authorities said.

The victim was unable to provide details about the incident.

No arrests have been made, and Area Two detectives are investigating.
