62-year-old man wounded in Avalon Park shooting
CHICAGO - A 62-year-old man was shot Wednesday in Avalon Park on the South Side.
The man was outside about 2:50 p.m. when someone fired shots in the 7900 block of South Anthony Avenue, striking him in the back, Chicago police said.
The man was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center for treatment, police said.
Area detectives are investigating.
