CHICAGO - A shooting Monday morning on the city’s Southwest Side left one man dead and another in custody, authorities said.
What we know:
Chicago police said the victim, a 48-year-old man, was standing outside in the 2600 block of South Kolin Avenue around 11:20 a.m. when someone approached, pulled out a gun and opened fire. He was struck multiple times in the abdomen.
The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition and later died of his injuries, according to police. His name has not been released.
Arrest Made :
On Wednesday, police announced the arrest of Ramiro Sanchez, 39, who is charged with one felony count of first-degree murder.
He was taken into custody just before 1 p.m. on Sept. 1, only hours after the shooting.

Sanchez is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 4 for a detention hearing.
