SCHAUMBURG, Ill. - At least 10 people were caught on camera earlier this week breaking into an auto dealership and getting away with six luxury vehicles, according to the Cook County Sheriff's Office.
Surveillance video from Exclusive Autohaus – a luxury, pre-owned car dealership – in the 1600 block of S. Roselle Road captured the brazen crime, which unfolded in a matter of minutes.
"This dealership has a lot of hard work put into it and just to see someone taking advantage of it like that, it’s painful," said the manager of Exclusive Autohaus, who did not want to be identified. "They’re just walking around here like it’s nothing."

Just after 2:04 a.m. Monday, video shows a single SUV pulling up to the dealership.
One by one, thieves emptied out of the vehicle.
Ten people – wearing hoodies and masks – can be seen peering into the dealer’s garage.

At first, the thieves tried to pry open the door by lifting it. When that didn’t work, one of them picked up a brick and shattered the glass – triggering the dealership’s alarms.
Video shows that all of them made their way inside, except for at least one lookout person.
In the garage, the group scattered in all directions until they located the keys.
By 2:07 a.m., the thieves were back outside, and can be seen on video unlocking several vehicles – before stealing them from the lot.
Cook County Sheriff's Police responded to the burglary call.
The manager of the business told responding officers that the luxury vehicles stolen were a blue 2014 Audi S7, two blue 2017 Audi Q7s, a blue 2018 Mercedes Benz GLS 450, a white 2019 Mercedes Benz E300, and a black 2014 Maserati Ghibli.
"I was in shock," the dealership manager told FOX 32 Chicago. "How is a business owner safe, and how is he going to feel safe and comfortable investing in our state."
Frustrated and angered by the situation, the dealership’s manager said something needs to change, otherwise he believes small business owners won't want to stay.
"They’re still part of the economy, employing people, paying people, running some portion of the economy, not saying it’s a huge portion, but at the same time, how are they safe to do business in their state because crime is getting out of hand. Crime is going up," the manager said. "It worries me. What are we doing. How can we make sure we are all protected."
Oak Park police have since recovered the 2014 Audi S7, which had been abandoned. It was turned over to investigators to be processed.
The investigation is ongoing. Nobody was reported in custody.
