Boy, 14, charged in Chicago shooting that wounded woman, damaged vehicles
CHICAGO - A 14-year-old boy was charged in connection with a shooting last week that wounded a woman and damaged two vehicles in the Humboldt Park neighborhood.
The teen was arrested Tuesday in Logan Square. He was charged with one count of aggravated battery/discharge of a firearm and two counts of criminal damage to property, all felonies.
The backstory:
Police said the teen was part of a group who shot and wounded a 19-year-old woman who was inside a vehicle in the 1600 block of North Spaulding Avenue.
She was taken to Humboldt Park Hospital where she was listed in good condition. Two vehicles were also damaged by gunfire in the shooting.
