Photos of suspected vehicle in Beach Park hit-and-run

Lake County Sheriff's have released photos of a pickup truck they say was involved in a deadly hit and run in Beach Park.

A hit-and-run crash in north suburban Lake County left a motorcyclist dead early Sunday morning.

What we know:

Police responded to the crash around 5:50 a.m. in the intersection of Green Bay Road and Sallmon Avenue in Beach Park, according to the Lake County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies found the 19-year-old motorcyclist dead. The Lake County Coroner's Office identified him as Adrian Rogel-Villanueva, of Waukegan.

The Kawasaki sports bike he was riding had damage consistent with being hit by another vehicle that had fled the scene.

An autopsy by the Lake County coroner indicated Rogel-Villanueva died from blunt force injuries as a result of the crash.

Investigators identified the vehicle as a maroon 2017 GMC Sierra pickup truck. The truck is believed to be at a body shop or in a garage. The vehicle would have front-end damage and damage to the passengers side.

What we don't know:

The Lake County Sheriff’s Technical Crash Investigations Team is investigating the crash.
