Man shot on Chicago's Near West Side
CHICAGO - A 30-year-old man was shot Saturday on the Near West Side.
About 3:30 p.m., he was in the 100 block of South Canal Street, when someone approached him and fired shots, Chicago police said.
He was struck in the shoulder, foot, and brought to Stroger Hospital for treatment, police said.
Area Three detectives are investigating.

Gas station canopy collapses onto cars in Elmwood Park
The aftermath of Monday's big snow storm continued Friday with a roof collapse in suburban Elmwood Park at a gas station, and the Chicago area could see a lot more incidents like that this weekend.
