Missing 13-year-old from Aurora found safe

AURORA, Ill. - Byron Sparrow, a 13-year-old boy reported missing Sunday afternoon from Aurora, has been found safe, police said.

Byron was found in a nearby city playing basketball, Aurora police said in an email. A passerby recognized him from a photo shared with a news outlet.

The exact circumstances of why the boy left home remains under investigation, police said.
