Chicago woman charged after man shot on West Side
CHICAGO - A Chicago woman has been charged in connection with the shooting of a man earlier this month on the city's West Side.

What we know:
Police said Emanda Mata, 35, was arrested Friday in the 1800 block of South Harding Avenue in North Lawndale.

According to police, she was identified as a person who participated in the shooting of a 35-year-old man Aug. 11 on South Harding Avenue.
The shooting happened around 1:15 p.m. The man was struck in the leg and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition.
Mata faces three felony charges:
- Aggravated battery causing great bodily harm
- Reckless conduct causing great bodily harm
- Aggravated battery by discharging a firearm
What we don't know:
It remains unclear what led up to the shooting.
What's next:
Mata was due in court Sunday for a detention hearing.
Arrest history
Chicago police records show Mata has been arrested several times dating back to 2014 on allegations of drug possession, criminal damage to property, battery, criminal trespass to a vehicle, retail theft and traffic violations.
