Missing Cook County woman's car found abandoned in the middle of the street in Chicago

MAYWOOD, Ill. - The car of a missing Maywood woman was found abandoned in Chicago last week.

Coretta Washington, 53, was last seen around 7 a.m. Wednesday in the 500 block of 2nd Avenue in Maywood. She is described as 5-foot-5, weighing about 190 pounds, with a medium complexion, brown eyes and shoulder-length black hair.

Her clothing at the time of her disappearance is unknown.

Washington’s car, a 2012 Honda, was discovered abandoned in the middle of the street in the 2000 block of West Leland Avenue in Chicago the same day she went missing.

According to her family, Washington has a medical condition and needs medication. They have been unable to reach her by phone since her disappearance.
