CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - O’Hare International Airport is starting to slip down the list of the busiest airports in the world.
O’Hare is now ranked fourth in the world according to Airports Council International.
The airport trade group released its official figures for 2015 on Friday. The list is based on passenger traffic from 2015.
Here are the world's ten busiest airports as determined by the group.
By passengers:
- Atlanta (ATL): 101,491,106 passengers. Rank in 2014: 1st
- Beijing (PEK): 89,938,628 passengers. Rank in 2014: 2nd
- Dubai International (DXB): 78,014,841 passengers. Rank in 2014: 6th
- Chicago O’Hare (ORD): 76,949,504 passengers. Rank in 2014: 7th
- 5. Tokyo Haneda (HND): 75,573,106 passengers. Rank in 2014: 4th
- London Heathrow (LHR): 74,989,795 passengers. Rank in 2014: 3rd
- Los Angeles (LAX): 74,937,004 passengers. Rank in 2014: 5th
- Hong Kong (HKG) 68,283,407 passengers. Rank in 2014: 10th
- Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG): 65,766,986 passengers. Rank in 2014: 8th
- Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW): 65,516,163 passengers. Rank in 2014: 9th
