Police search for suspects in series of armed robberies across Chicago
CHICAGO - Chicago police are seeking multiple suspects following five armed robberies that occurred within hours of each other early Friday.
The incidents occurred at the following times and locations:
- 1200 block of West Randolph St on January 3, 2025, at 5:40 AM. (Fulton Market District)
- 700 block of North May St on January 3, 2025, at 6:22 AM. (West Town)
- 3200 block of West Lake St on January 3, 2025, at 6:50 AM. (Garfield Park)
- 300 block of North Avers Ave on January 3, 2025, at 6:59 AM. (Garfield Park)
- 100 block of North Western Ave on January 3, 2025, at 7:14 AM. (Near West Side)
In each incident, two or three male suspects, all wearing black or dark clothing and black ski masks, exited a stolen vehicle and approached victims while armed with handguns. The suspects demanded property before fleeing in the vehicle.
In some incidents, victims were pistol-whipped or battered, authorities said.
The suspects, described as being between 17 and 20 years old, were traveling in a stolen white Jeep Grand Cherokee.
