KAYSERI, Turkey - A security guard in Kayseri, Turkey, leaped into action to save a woman wearing headphones who stepped in front of an oncoming tram, pulling her to safety just seconds before impact.

The incident happened on October 14.

Kayseri Transportation released video, showing the moment the woman being pulled out of the tram’s path at the last second by the guard. 

Authorities said the woman was wearing headphones. They reminded passengers to stay aware of their surroundings when in public.

What they're saying:

"This incident serves as an important reminder for all of us," the transportation authority said in a statement to Storyful. "We thank our security guard for his attention and sense of responsibility. However, what we really need to pay attention to is that all our passengers be more careful and aware on the rail systems."
