Some Canadian doctors and nurses are protesting their own pay raise

QUEBEC, Canada (Fox 32 News) - Hundreds of medical professionals in Quebec, Canada, are currently protesting pay raises.

The concerned doctors, nurses and students say they already make too much money.

More than 750 physicians, residents, and medical students from the province signing on to a petition asking for pay raises to be canceled.

The petition lobbies for the money to instead be redistributed throughout Quebec's healthcare system.

The group would like more fund more nurses and other health-care professions while making care more affordable for patients.

An organization representing the group says they can't accept pay raises while working conditions remain poor for others.
