Southbound Red Line service resumes after track blockage cleared

Southbound CTA Red Line service has been suspended between the Roosevelt and 95th/Dan Ryan stations Saturday afternoon due to track blockage.

The transit authority announced the service disruption about 12:10 p.m., citing "debris on the tracks" near the Sox-35th station.

Shuttle buses are available to ferry riders south past Roosevelt, the CTA said.

Northbound trains are unaffected by the disruption.
