A statue depicting President Donald Trump and the late Jeffrey Epstein reenacting the famous "Titanic" scene between Rose and Jack at the bow of the ship, popped up in Washington, D.C., earlier this week.

Dig deeper:

The statue was placed on the National Mall on Tuesday morning, according to The Washington Post.

The nearly 12-foot-tall installation also came with a plaque that read:

"The tragic love story between Jack and Rose was built on luxurious travel, raucous parties, and secret nude sketches. This monument honors the bond between Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein, a friendship seemingly built on luxurious travel, raucous parties and secret nude sketches."

Alongside the statue were banners that showed the infamous photo of Trump and Epstein that read "Make America Safe Again" and the Department of Justice logo with the word "Justice" redacted.

What they're saying:

When asked about the statues, a White House spokesperson said in a statement to The Hill, "When will these wealthy Democrat donors create sculptures of Democrats…who continued to solicit money and meetings from Epstein after he was convicted as a sex offender?"

The backstory:

This is the third such installment from the same group of artists, according to The Post.

In January, a massive replica of a birthday note believed to be written by Trump to Epstein was displayed on the Mall.

The letter that the replica was based on, has several typewritten texts featuring an outline of a naked woman sketched in marker. It also depicted two arcs representing breasts, with Trump’s signature written beneath the waist and resembling pubic hair.

The letter reads: "Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret."

Trump has continued to deny he ever wrote it.

In September, a spray-painted bronze statue of Trump and Epstein holding hands was put on display. The statue was titled "Best Friends Forever."
