Chicago bride-to-be receives rare heart, liver & kidney transplant at Northwestern

Jessica Lopez, 32, from Chicago, was blinded by childhood cancers leukemia and retinoblastoma. Years of chemotherapy saved her life but left her with serious long-term health issues. In 2023, just after getting engaged, she learned she needed a new heart and liver ? and later, a new kidney as well.
