Chicago City Council advances ‘snap curfew’ plan despite mayor’s opposition

Chicago’s so-called “snap curfew” ordinance is moving forward after the City Council’s Public Safety Committee voted 11–4 to advance a revised version of the plan, even as Mayor Brandon Johnson says he opposes it.
