WIU librarian layoffs overturned, ruled 'illegal' | The Chicago Report

An arbitrator said Western Illinois University illegally laid off nine academic librarians and two staff members last year and ordering the school to give them their jobs back with back pay.  Union leaders call it a major victory, but say chronic underfunding from springfield is still forcing regional colleges to make dangerous cuts.  Joining us now to discuss the ruling is union President John Miller.
