Obama: Rev. Jesse Jackson ‘laid the path’ that made my presidency possible

At Rev. Jesse Jackson’s funeral, former President Barack Obama said Jackson’s historic presidential runs and Rainbow Coalition “paved the road” for a young Black senator from Chicago to one day be taken seriously as a candidate — and ultimately win the White House.
