Rideshare workers rally to unionize | The Chicago Report

 Illinois could be making labor history soon.  A bill heading to the state senate floor would allow 100,000 rideshare drivers to unionize.  Federal law classifies Uber and Lyft drivers as independent contractors, but this measure would let them bargain sector-wide for better pay and safety.  Joining us now to break down the push before Sunday's spring deadline is Ronnie Gonzalez with the Illinois Drivers Alliance.
