Chicago Mayor Lightfoot, Newsmax reporter clash again over crime and criticism: 'Do you HONESTLY believe that?'

Tensions became heated again on Friday when Newsmax reporter William Kelly raised questions about a surge in violent crime in the city, and when Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot was asked about her belief that 99% of the criticism she gets is because she's a Black woman.

A 17-year-old girl was shot Sunday in Noble Square on the Northwest Side.

About 3 a.m., she was in the 1300 block of North Greenview Avenue, when she heard shots and felt a pain, Chicago police said.

She was struck in the left leg and went to McNeal Hospital where she is in good condition, police said.

Area Five detectives are investigating.
