CHICAGO - Another 45 people in Cook County have died from COVID-19, officials announced Monday.
The newly confirmed fatalities bring the county’s death toll to 4,057, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Coronavirus deaths in Cook County make up about 68% of the state’s 5,294 fatalities. Illinois health officials announced 23 new COVID-19 deaths and 658 new cases Monday.
