5-year-old boy falls from 6th floor window in Des Plaines
DES PLAINES (Sun-Times Media Wire) - A 5-year-old boy fell from a sixth floor window Saturday afternoon in northwest suburban Des Plaines.
He fell from a window about 1:45 p.m. in the Landmark Condominium Building at 711 S. River Road onto a “mulched area” in the back of the building, according to Des Plaines police. The boy lives in the unit with his parents.
He was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, but his condition was not immediately available. Police said he was conscious and breathing when officers and paramedics arrived.
Police believe the fall was accidental.
