Camelot Education, a leader in providing special education services, is recruiting creative, compassionate and caring individuals to join our team. We are seeking a School Social Worker for our Mount Prospect, IL campus.

Our Mount Prospect campus provides academic and multiple related service therapies for children, adolescents and young adults ages 5 through 21. The Autism Program uses a comprehensive approach that tailors the most effective therapies and treatments to each child. The adult prep program provides vocational education classes, community work and job shadowing to ensure that students have a clear path ahead of them upon leave.

The School Social Worker will provide individual, group, and family services as indicated on the student's IEP. The social worker works closely with teaching staff to ensure that behavior plans are being followed and that the student is progressing towards their goals and will also provide crisis intervention when needed. The social worker maintains frequent contact with parents/guardians as well as school district representatives.

Required Experience:
A Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field from an accredited University
Professional licensure, either LSW, LCSW, LPC or LCPC
School Social Worker endorsement (formerly known as Type 73) from the Illinois School Board of Education is preferred
Experience working children and adolescents in a therapeutic setting
Strong interpersonal skills
