They were simply walking out of the casino after an evening of fun but the two grandmothers and sisters were confronted, robbed, and carjacked by a man armed with a gun.
Beverly Hill and her sister, Janet, had just left Motor City Casino Thursday morning around 5:00 when they were abducted, robbed, and carjacked. They were heading to their car on the roof of the parking garage when someone saw them as easy targets.
"Just get in the car and then he showed us he had gun," Beverly said. "He got in back seat (then he) said you have to get out of here put your car in reverse."
Beverly said she did what she was told and tried to stay calm, despite the fact that he had his gun pointed at them.
"In my opinion he knew exactly what he was doing in my opinion he had done this before," Beverly said.
Beverly says she was told to drive to a field near Schoolcraft where they were told to get out of her car. They did that and the guy took off, leaving the grandmothers and sisters walking and looking for help. That's when a stranger pulled up, willing to help.
"He's my angel so he offered to take us to the police station," she said.
In a statement to Fox 2 Motor City Casino said "we take this isolated incident very seriously. Our organization is working closely with local law enforcement as they continue their investigation. The safety and security of our guests remain of the utmost importance to us."
This incident won't stop Beverly. She still plans to go back to Motor City Casino but she does want the casino to be more aware of security.
"This guy was at their parking lot that's still their place where people park. They own that."
Her car is still missing. The red PT Cruiser has a Michigan plate AEW 319. If you've seen it, call police.
