Man’s body recovered from water in South Shore, police say

CHICAGO - Chicago police say a man’s body was pulled from the water in the South Shore neighborhood on Thursday afternoon.

What we know:

Authorities report that a marine unit recovered the body around 2:48 p.m. in the 7000 block of South Shore Drive.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, and his identity has not yet been released.

Area detectives are investigating the incident.
