Buffalo Grove High School closed Wednesday due to fire

BUFFALO GROVE, Ill. - Buffalo Grove High School will be closed Wednesday due to a fire that erupted in the building Tuesday night.

Firefighters responded to the school around 7:45 p.m. for the report of a fire alarm.

They found smoke coming from a room when they arrived. A small fire was quickly extinguished.

According to school officials, more information about after-school activities and events will be available by noon Wednesday.

The school said everyone is safe.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
