On Friday, community activists treated him and his family to a limo ride for his preschool graduation in Chatham on the South Side.

Wisdom's mother says she will be forever grateful for the community's outpouring of support and donations to help her family through this tough time.

"He could have been gone. Just to even be able to celebrate this day is amazing. My baby could have been gone," she said.

The limo ride was provided by the Andrew Holmes Foundation and the 100 Men Standing organization.

Chicago police say the driver who hit Wisdom is still on the run.
