Chicago crime: 16-year-old boy shot twice in the jaw on South Side

CHICAGO - A teen boy was shot in the jaw in Chicago Lawn Monday night.

At about 8:38 p.m., police responded to the 6900 block of South Western for a report of a person shot.

Upon arrival, officers located a 16-year-old boy with two gunshot wounds to his jaw.

He was transported to an area hospital in fair condition.

No one is in custody. Area One detectives are investigating.
