Police search for suspect in CTA Red Line battery

Chicago police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man accused of battering a woman on a CTA Red Line train last month on the Near North Side.

The backstory:

The incident happened around 4:40 p.m. on March 25 on a CTA train near the Chicago Red Line station, when the man allegedly approached a female passenger, made inappropriate physical contact and then followed her off the train. 

Police described the suspect as a Hispanic man between about 5-foot-11 and 6-foot-2, weighing 190 to 210 pounds, with a thin goatee. He was last seen wearing a dark baseball cap, tan hoodie, black puffy jacket, black pants and black shoes.
