Firefighter injured battling blaze in Englewood vacant building

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) - A firefighter was injured battling a blaze in a vacant building Thursday afternoon in the South Side Englewood neighborhood.

Firefighters responded about 3:05 p.m. to the two-and-a-half story building in the 7100 block of South Wentworth, according to Fire Media Affairs.

One firefighter suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the blaze, but additional information was not immediately available.

The fire was struck out shortly before 3:30 p.m., fire officials said.
