Driver killed in I-94 single-car crash on Chicago's South Side
CHICAGO - The driver in a fiery single-car crash was killed on the Dan Ryan Expressway on the city’s South Side early Saturday morning.
Investigators said the crash stemmed from an earlier incident.

What we know:
Police responded to the crash on Interstate 94 southbound at 76th Street where the white Honda crashed a little before 1:30 a.m., Illinois State Police said.
Investigators said the driver, a 30-year-old man from Chicago, fled the scene of a previous crash, left the roadway, traveled up an embankment, and hit a pole.
The car became engulfed in flames with the driver trapped inside.
He died at the scene.
What we don't know:
ISP did not identify the driver of the car, nor gave details about the initial incident that led to the deadly crash.
