Man, 20, fatally shot in the head in Chicago's Gresham neighborhood

CHICAGO - A man was fatally shot in the head in Chicago's Gresham neighborhood Monday.

At about 6:58 p.m., a 20-year-old man was near the sidewalk in the 700 block of 79th Street when he was struck in the head by gunfire, Chicago police said.

He was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No offenders are in custody.

Area detectives are investigating.
