Man, 23, shot multiple times while on sidewalk in Chatham

CHICAGO - A 23-year-old man was shot multiple times on Chicago's South Side Tuesday afternoon.

At about 3:05 p.m., the victim was on the sidewalk in the 7900 block of South Cottage when he was shot multiple times in the body, police said.

He was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

Area Two detectives are investigating.
