Man driving through Chicago's West Side caught in crossfire, hit by stray bullet

A 72-year-old man was struck by a stray bullet Sunday in Humboldt Park on the West Side.

The man was driving about 5:50 p.m. in the 3700 block of West Chicago when he got caught in crossfire, and a bullet struck him in the hand, Chicago police said.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition, police said.

Area Four detectives are investigating.
