(FOX News) - Beloved West Coast burger chain In-N-Out is being sued by a customer who says he got sick after drinking a milkshake containing two capsules of methamphetamine.

Fred Maldonado filed the lawsuit Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, alleging negligence and strict liability.

Maldonado visited a Downey, Calif. location in March 2014 and ordered a burger and beverage from the restaurant drive through. According to the suit, he returned to his hotel room nearby to eat but it wasn’t until the next morning that Maldonado realized the drink contained two pill capsules and a napkin at the bottom of the cup.

He returned to the restaurant and complained to the manager, who apologized and offered Maldonado a free burger.
