Matthew McConaughey celebrates birthday by handing out free turkeys to families
"Alright, alright, alright!" Texas' own Matthew McConaughey spent his birthday on November 4th in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. He helped dish out 4,500 frozen turkeys to local families who needed them.
The Oscar-winning actor, who is a spokesman for Wild Turkey Bourbon, participated in the company’s early Thanksgiving initiative and drove around surprising Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, residents with frozen birds. The turkeys were donated by Butterball, and about 250 local volunteers helped McConaughey with the turkey donation .“It’s a sexy man carrying a turkey,” said one woman.
Many fans praised the actor for spending his birthday in such a generous way, writing, “See this is why I love you Matthew. You are such a humble soul. Thank you for what you are doing."
