Nothing suspicious found after Wrigley bomb threat

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - The Chicago Police Department investigated a reported bomb threat at Wrigley Field Friday morning. 

According to CPD, the department received a phone call around 10:15 a.m. regarding the bomb threat.  No injuries have been reported and Wrigley Field was not evacuated. A CPD K-9 unit was called to investigate the incident. 

The Chicago Cubs released a statement just after 11 a.m. saying:

Before our game at Wrigley Field this afternoon, we were notified of a potential bomb threat. After a thorough search by law enforcement, no evidence was found to suggest this threat was credible. Gates will open at 11:20 a.m. as planned.
