3 rescued from sinking boat near Ohio Street Beach

CHICAGO - Two men and a woman were rescued from a sinking boat in Lake Michigan Sunday evening on Chicago's Near North Side.

The Chicago police marine unit responded to a distress call from three people after their boat began to sink around 6 p.m. near Ohio Street Beach.

The trio was taken safely to shore and there were no reported injuries, police said.

No further information was available.
