Police locate woman with Alzheimer's missing from Hermosa

A woman with Alzheimer’s disease who was reported missing Thursday morning from the Hermosa neighborhood on the Northwest Side has been located.

Myrna Fernandez, 72, left her home in the 4000 block of West Cortland between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m., according to a high-risk missing person alert from Chicago Police. She has Alzheimer’s disease and just moved to the area Wednesday.

Fernandez has since been located, police announced Thursday afternoon. Additional information was not provided.
