Police: Suspect confessed to killing sister, 2 cousins in Clinton, Maryland home
CLINTON, Md. - Prince George's County police say the man arrested in connection to the deaths of three children inside a Clinton, Maryland home confessed to killing his sister and two cousins while they were lying in their beds.
Late Friday night, investigators announced 25-year-old Antonio Williams had been arrested in connection to the three girls' deaths. Officers were called to the home on Brooke Jane Drive by a family member around 7:30 a.m. Friday. Inside, they discovered three bodies, later announcing that the victims were all girls under the age of 10. Police said all three of them were pronounced dead at the scene.
On Saturday morning, officials announced that Williams is charged with murdering his sister, 6-year-old Nadira Withers, and their two cousins, 9-year-old Ariana Decree and 6-year-old Ajayah Decree. The Decree sisters are the daughters of the suspect's mother's cousin, and they are from Newark, New Jersey.
Williams is charged with three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of second-degree murder. Police said Williams was left at the home to watch the three girls, having sole custody of them overnight while his mother, Andrena Kelley, was at work.
Around 7:30 am Friday, police say Kelly came home from work to find her daughter and two cousins in a basement bedroom, suffering from apparent stab wounds. She called 911.
Williams was still on the scene, and was taken to the Criminal Investigation Division to be interviewed. According to charging documents, he waived his Miranda rights and confessed to killing the three girls.
Williams is currently in custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status. Charging documents also indicate Saturday is his 25th birthday.
After Saturday's news conference, police also released video showing homicide detectives escorting Williams to the Department of Corrections after his confession. The video does not contain audio, but it appears to show Williams smiling and talking to the detectives. It's not clear what he was saying. Watch the video below (app users: click here to watch):

While he has confessed, Captain Tony Schartner said investigators don't currently have a motive for the killings. Williams was the only adult inside the house at the time of the murders, but there was another 2-year-old child-- another of Williams's siblings-- home at the time, and that child was unharmed.
Schartner said there have been no previous calls for service to the home where the murders occurred.
